STAN CRANCE JOINS TEAM AT VALDOSTA-LOWNDES COUNTY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

The Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority (VLCDA) is proud to welcome Stan Crance to the team as the Existing Industry Coordinator. Stan is a young, visionary leader with a progressive career spanning many levels of business, management and development. His commitment to excellence and high standards has given him a hard-earned reputation as an effective professional.

He brings with him the knowledge in business, economic development, consulting, and non-profit management that we are looking for here at the Development Authority” says Andrea Schruijer, executive director, VLCDA.

Prior to joining the Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority, Stan worked as the Program Coordinator for Valdosta State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC). He oversaw all project activities related to SBDC and its partners, provided outreach services and recruitment of businesses to participate in program to increase their capability to successfully compete in the global economy by conducting one-on-one business visits. He also was responsible for the marketing of local SBDC programs and assisting the Business Consultants and Area Director with client program development, program delivery, client management and administration.

Stan is a University of Valdosta State alumnus with a degree in Business Management from the Langdale College of Business Administration. Upon graduation, Stan worked for Special Olympics Georgia as a Senior Sports and Program Manager. He became an integral leader to area managers, local boards, community partners, and athletics, serving as Sports Manager for the entire State of Georgia as well as at the World Games.

Stan also assists with his family’s business operation Art and Soul, a furniture, art and design store that opened in 2013 located in Downtown Valdosta. He is an alumnus of Leadership Lowndes and currently serves as a Trustee for the Leadership Lowndes Board of Directors and Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta.

The Development Authority is an organization that oversees industrial and economic development in Valdosta and Lowndes County. In 1960 the Authority was formed as an amendment to the Georgia State Constitution. The mission of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority is to create an environment to attract new industry and promote the growth of existing industry to drive job creation and capital investment.
